According to Everest, the raw memory performance of the AMD 790GX virtually matches that of the nForce 780a, and in both IGP and discrete PCI-Express graphics modes there's very little difference, unlike the AMD 780G that drops several hundred MB/s. The GX also features a very similar performance to the FX, although both this and the nForce 780a have a lower latency than both AMD IGP chipsets.

Sisoft Sandra tells a very similar story in terms of latency, although the memory performance is very linear. The difference between Sisoft Sandra and Everest, is that Everest only loads a single core while Sandra loads all four.
